Our ambitious expansion plans are coming to fruition and the eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed we have opened two new offices and increased the number of colleagues we employ.

Our new offices in Birmingham city centre opened last year in ‘Northspring’ on 31 Temple Street, Birmingham B2 5DB. We can be found on the first floor of this tastefully decorated building, with facilities including a cinema, gym and broadcasting room, alongside meeting rooms and breakout areas.

David Pedley, one of our Associate Directors, heads up the office and you will often find him in the company of Guy, Hasann, Uzair and Grace. We are hoping to add a new Senior Manager to the Birmingham office very soon. Watch this space!

Offices have also been acquired in Leeds city centre at 9 Bond Court, Leeds LS1 2JZ. Our Office Manager, Sue Walker, is currently working with our Managing Partner, Gary Brothers, to get the remaining internal works completed, before our office on the ground floor is fully operational.

As our office estate is growing in size, so is our headcount.

We have been delighted to welcome several new people to our team since last summer. September was particularly busy with Katherine, Meshaal and Gemma all joining within the space of three weeks. Yameena quickly followed in November, with Hasann the latest addition at the start of this month. Take a look at their profiles and learn more about this talented bunch!

So, what is next for Independent Tax?

We are determined to become an established nationwide tax disputes firm and we have made a strong start, but there is much more to do.

We are extremely proud to have been nominated for two awards in the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2024 and are looking forward to the presentation night on 22 February.

We are actively recruiting and building a new VAT Advisory service line, as well as looking to expand our presence in Leeds.
